Alien is about a vicious and predatory species that is encountered by humans on distant planet when they look for the cause of a distress signal. When it came out in 1979 it set a new standard for sci-fi and brought the genre to a new level. With the surrealist artist H.R Geiger behind the design of the Alien and many aspects of the Alien environment, it was unlike anything ever seen at that time. It is still praised to this day as one of the greatest movies of all time!
