Product_description: ['AD Surgical UNIFY PGCL Poliglecaprone Suture. Each box contains 12 individually sterilized foil packs of sutures and one instruction sheet. The suture is sterilized with ethylene oxide (EO) gas and normally will have 1-3 years of shelf life. Poliglecaprone suture is monofilament synthetic absorbable suture which is a copolymer of glycolide and caprolactone. Being monofilament, the suture is smooth, making it easier to pass through the tissues as compared to braided suture. It has a consistency close to nylon suture material. The suture is rarely used for percutaneous skin closure and is not used in areas of high tension. When removed from the package, it has a high degree of "memory", or coil. PGCL has low tissue reactivity, maintains high tensile strength, and has a half-life of 7 to 14 days. By 7 days, its in vivo tensile strength is at 50–60% undyed (60–70% dyed) By 14 days, its in vivo tensile strength is at 20–30% undyed (30–40% dyed) Complete absorption by 90-120 days. PGCL suture indicated for use in soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, but not for use in cardiovascular or neurological surgery, microsurgery, or ophthalmic surgery. The suture is absorbed in tissues by simple hydrolysis and known for reliable absorption. UNIFY Surgical sutures are manufactured in our own contracted manufacturing facilities and have been selling factory-direct in the US market for over 8 years. You can save up to 80% on your suture cost by switching to UNIFY Sutures!']
