Numerous new twisted pair cable designs are coming to the market to satisfy demands for cable to provide higher level performance and capacity. Resulting cables with Larger overall OD and conductor OD can present a termination challenge. The patented Platinum Tools <b>202050J</b> ezEX-RJ45 system connectors have the versatility to be the termination solution many of these designs. This ezEX44 shielded connector with internal ground tabs may be used to terminate most any CAT5/5e/6 cable with max overall OD up to .305" (7.75mm) and solid or stranded conductor OD (including insulation) in a range of 0.39" (1mm) through .044" (1.12mm).</p><p>Design allows conductors to extend through the front end of the connector for verification of wiring order prior to crimping. In use, the cable shielding foil is removed and the drain wire is pulled back and wrapped around the cable jacket. After terminating the connector, external ground tabs are then crimped around the cable and drain wire to make a secure ground connection. Conductors terminate in a hi-low staggered format that isolates them, reducing cross talk potential and enhancing performance. Connectors are crimped and conductors are trimmed in one action using the 100061C crimp tool.</p>
