<strong>Overview</strong><br>The new Radium Engineering fuel pump hanger for the Mitsubishi EVO X has been redesigned for improved fuel collection and easier installation. It completely replaces the factory in-tank fuel pump module and allows 1 or 2 aftermarket fuel pumps to be used. For international vehicles that did not come with this standard, 20-0421 EVO X Fuel Tank Pressure Plug is required. <br><br><strong>Preventing Fuel Starvation</strong><br>The kit includes a 1-piece anodized aluminum collector box that makes installation a breeze and keeps fuel trapped around the pump inlet(s). As shown below, there is a 355 LPH 1-way fill valve incorporated in the bottom of the collector that allows fuel in, but not out. The collector box is constantly replenished with fuel returning from the pressure regulator.<br><br><strong>Notes about the Venturi Jet Pump</strong><ul><li>The OEM venturi jet pump in the return line creates a restriction with the stock EVO X fuel pump module. </li><li>Radium Engineering has redesigned the siphon system to eliminate this restriction but still effectively scavenges fuel. This means higher flowing pumps can safely be used without fuel pressure issues.</li><li>Depending on fuel pressure, the venturi jet pump will consume 15-45 LPH. Take this fuel loss into consideration when sizing the fuel pumps.</li><li>If it is important for fuel pressure to hold steady after the engine is shut down, install one of these check valves somewhere in the fuel system.</li></ul><strong>Notes about pump configuration</strong><br><strong>For "Pumps Not Included" configurations:</strong><ul><li>There will be enough components included with this option to use 1 or 2 fuel pumps. Depending on the setup, some parts will simply not be used.</li><li>A pliable fuel pump filter sock like this HERE must be used for proper fitment.</li></ul><strong>For "Pumps Included" configurations:</strong><ul><li>The unit will arrive ready to be dropped in with only minor assembly required. The high flow HJS HD 200 cell catalytic converter downpipe unlocks more power, response, and turbo sound without a check engine light or noxious fumes.<br><br><strong>DEVELOPMENT AND TESTING:</strong> The 718 has ample sound deadening and is further quieted down by the turbocharger making for a mellow cabin experience with both base exhaust and PSE. To some this will not stand, and for them we built an aggressive system designed for aggressive use. Suncoast Parts were looking for a durable system for their track vehicle which experienced a failure with another brand's exhaust and as such we beefed up our Performance Exhaust to excel on the racetrack. Flex sections in the over axle piping and bespoke mounting brackets for both manual and PDK transmissions promote longevity and reduce NVH. Eliminating the restrictive factory catalytic converter adds to drivability and also unlocks the sweet sounds of the turbo with a major increase in snarling and crackles from the exhaust. Smooth mandrel bent piping ranging from 90mm down to dual 55mm outlets encourages better throttle response and a more exciting exhaust note. Easy to bolt in with no modifications required, this is a great, reversible solution to make your Boxster or Cayman more exciting. The dual piping encourages a smoother, more refined rumble over a single piping conversion for a more distinctly Porsche engine note.<br><br><strong>POWER:</strong>Verified independent dyno testing at Growler Motor Labs revealed real, repeatable peak gains of 14 whp and 24 ft-lbs of torque with a noticeable improvement in the mid RPM range with just the downpipe alone!<br><br><strong>CONSTRUCTION:</strong> Each system is made from mandrel bent T304L stainless steel tubing (featuring 2.5" OD over axle pipes), thick cast flanges, and durable flex sections. Back purged TIG welding ensures proper weld penetration and longevity.<br><br><strong>SOUND:</strong> During development we were told this is the best sounding 718 exhaust several people have ever heard - and we concur! This exhaust setup offers an impressive level of snarling and crackling heard from some distance! This exhaust forgoes any mufflers and resonators and as such will have in-cabin presence which is sorely missing from the factory setup and with high flow cat downpipe will be on the loud side - be aware this is a very aggressive exhaust setup and will sound and perform as such - perfect for those looking for an invigorating experience but possibly too intrusive for the casual daily driver. <br><br><strong>HJS CATALYSTS:</strong> The highest quality catalytic converters available, known for their industry leading flow and durability. They are efficient enough to meet strict EURO 4 emission standards while still allowing for an increase in flow - all without a check engine light. The HD design uses premium triple foil winding for maximum strength. The brazing stripe is an extra feature in the interest of durability - it prevents the core from moving or experiencing any damage from sustained high horsepower abuse. The 200 cell design uses a premium wash coat of precious metals to achieve a high level of effectiveness at catalyzing even with the increase in exhaust flow.<br><br><strong>BOLT ON AND GO:</strong> Each set of Race Pipes is tested in a fixture to ensure perfect fitment and then foam packed to ensure they arrive in perfect condition. New hardware is included for the two bolt flanges. <strong>Porsche 718 Boxster and Cayman Sport Package</strong><br><br>A straight through dual exhaust allows for the best possible boxer engine note. The high flow HJS HD 200 cell catalytic converter downpipe unlocks more power, response, and turbo sound without a check engine light or noxious fumes.<br><br><strong>DEVELOPMENT AND TESTING:</strong> The 718 has ample sound deadening and is further quieted down by the turbocharger making for a mellow cabin experience with both base exhaust and PSE. To some this will not stand, and for them we built an aggressive system designed for aggressive use. Suncoast Parts were looking for a durable system for their track vehicle which experienced a failure with another brand's exhaust and as such we beefed up our Performance Exhaust to excel on the racetrack. Flex sections in the over axle piping and bespoke mounting brackets for both manual and PDK transmissions promote longevity and reduce NVH. Eliminating the restrictive factory catalytic converter adds to drivability and also unlocks the sweet sounds of the turbo with a major increase in snarling and crackles from the exhaust. Smooth mandrel bent piping ranging from 90mm down to dual 55mm outlets encourages better throttle response and a more exciting exhaust note. Easy to bolt in with no modifications required, this is a great, reversible solution to make your Boxster or Cayman more exciting. The dual piping encourages a smoother, more refined rumble over a single piping conversion for a more distinctly Porsche engine note.<br><br><strong>POWER:</strong>Verified independent dyno testing at Growler Motor Labs revealed real, repeatable peak gains of 14 whp and 24 ft-lbs of torque with a noticeable improvement in the mid RPM range with just the downpipe alone!<br><br><strong>CONSTRUCTION:</strong> Each system is made from mandrel bent T304L stainless steel tubing (featuring 2.5" OD over axle pipes), thick cast flanges, and durable flex sections. Back purged TIG welding ensures proper weld penetration and longevity.<br><br><strong>SOUND:</strong> During development we were told this is the best sounding 718 exhaust several people have ever heard - and we concur! This exhaust setup offers an impressive level of snarling and crackling heard from some distance! This exhaust forgoes any mufflers and resonators and as such will have in-cabin presence which is sorely missing from the factory setup and with high flow cat downpipe will be on the loud side - be aware this is a very aggressive exhaust setup and will sound and perform as such - perfect for those looking for an invigorating experience but possibly too intrusive for the casual daily driver. <br><br><strong>HJS CATALYSTS:</strong> The highest quality catalytic converters available, known for their industry leading flow and durability. They are efficient enough to meet strict EURO 4 emission standards while still allowing for an increase in flow - all without a check engine light. The brazing stripe is an extra feature in the interest of durability - it prevents the core from moving or experiencing any damage from sustained high horsepower abuse.
