Kershaw 1556BW 1556BW Cryo II Blackwash Assisted Folding Knife They Cryo II gets the BlackWash treatment, giving it that tough, well-used look tight out of the box. The newly redesigned Cryo II is the big brother of the original, award-winning Cryo pocketknife with a 3.25-inch blade and weighing 5.5 ounces, making it 20% larger than its predecessor. Cooperatively designed with Rick Hinderer, the entire knife - blade and handle - is forged of pure stainless steel and coated with a black-oxide BlackWash finish that will look great even after prolonged use. Despite the pre-worn look, that coating also helps add an extra level of resistance to possible corrosion. This knife is impressively slim and durable despite its larger size. With the proprietary SpeedSafe system, the blade can be quickly accessed with the simple push of either the flipper or the thumb stud. Then, the blade securely locks into place using Kershaw's proprietary frame-lock design. Convenient, deep-pocket carrying is possible with the quad-carry pocket clip so it can be carried tip up, tip down and on either the left side or right side.
