Double-acting cylinders provide power in both directions, allowing for more precise positioning than single-acting cylinders. The rod is made of hard chrome-plated case-hardened steel to extend service life and provide smooth movement. An adjustable cushion slows piston speed near the end of the stroke to reduce impact stress and reduce vibration. Seals are replaceable and can be used with most hydraulic fluid.
