This design is particularly important in applications where contamination is a concern, since a typical aerator can introduce airborne germs into the water supply.<br><br> The infrared sensor has an adjustable range of 4" - 12" and comes set with a default timeout of 30 seconds. The faucet installs on a single mounting hole, with a 4" trim plate to blend it into the sink deck and to cover up any unused holes from an old faucet.
