A domed ABS strainer is designed to prevent splash-back and blocks any larger solids such as food or debris from getting into your p-trap and drain lines, which could result in clogging and service calls to a plumber. An included cast iron enameled 1/2 grate partially blocks the sink from foreign matter entering it, while still leaving a space for a drain pipe to enter.<br><br> Contracted of durable cast iron and lined with a white acid-resistant coating, this sink is built to withstand the wear-and-tear of a busy commercial kitchen.
