These heavy duty PYREXPLUS® round bottles have a protective PVC coating to help prevent glass from shattering and reduces spills. Bottles are autoclavable at 121 degree(s) C and resistant to thermal shock. Bottles have GL45 threaded necks and come with autoclavable, one-piece, teal colored polypropylene plug seal caps with drip-free pouring rings. Glass bead indicates full capacity line. Teal enameled graduations and marking spot. -Caution: Do not place these bottles over direct heat or flame or heat above 121 degree(s) C moist heat or 110 degree(s) C dry heat. DO NOT tighten caps immediately after autoclaving as the vacuum resulting from cooling can cause breakage. Covered by U.S. Patent # 4,940,613. -A wide range of optional caps are available for these bottles: -Polypropylene colored caps in a choice of orange, green, purple, red, and light gray for ease of sorting and identification -Vented membrane cap with 0.22µm PTFE hydrophobic membrane. -PBT caps with silicone septa for syringe sampling or introduction of reagents.
