Sterilized system consists of a removable, polystyrene media chamber sealed to a 25 x 75 mm soda lime glass slide using biocompatible acrylic adhesive. The glass slide has a chemically modified surface that provides consistent adhesion and differentiation for all anchorage-dependent cells. Provides binding sites optimal for fastidious cells (e.g. neurons). Growth surface remains stable without refrigeration. System also features an inert hydrophobic border that prevents cross-contamination between wells during processing after the chamber has been removed, a clear polystyrene cover with handle and a blue frosted writing area for permanent sample identification. Etched numbers along the border of the chamber facilitate identification and microscopic orientation.
