WARNING : Under no circumstances should cam and groove couplings be used for compressed air or steam service.<br><br>Dixon Sanitary Reducing Cam and Groove Female Cam Coupler x Male Cam Adapter for transitioning sizes between two camlock fittings. These camlock fittings are available from 1-1/2" up to 4" in 356T6 Aluminum or 316 Investment Cast Stainless Steel. The pressure rating for these fittings is based on the seal of the mating part.<br><br>Note: The 4" x 2" (4020-DA-SS) stainless steel fitting is produced as a welded fabrication.<br><br>Dixon camlock fittings are all precision machined to rigid tolerances and designed to be interchangeable with all products produced to Commercial Item Description A-A-59326B. However, no standard exists for the 1/2" and 8" fittings and generally these will not interchange with other manufacturers. All couplers, regardless of casting material, utilize durable stainless steel cam arm pins that will not rust or bind. The couplers also feature a recess to hold the gasket firmly in place, ensuring proper placement and eliminating any chance for leakage.<br><br>Cam and Groove fittings are designed for use as a hose coupling that allows quick connect capabilities to increase operator productivity. To secure a connection, simply slide the adapter into the coupler, and with normal hand pressure press the cam levers down. Uncoupling is just as simple, just lift the cam arms and remove the adapter.
