This Starrett Duratec SFB Blade combines features of a flexback and a hardback into a Super Bandsaw Blade. Made from carbon steel with a flexible back, the blade is designed for contour and straight cutting and is ideal for vertical and horizontal carpentry. The blade has many uses for wood, composites, plastics, MDF, and nonferrous metals. Radius cuts, use the following 1/8” radius = 1/8” blade 5/16” radius = 3/16” blade 5/8” radius = ¼” blade 1-7/16” radius = 3/8” blade 2-5/8” = ½” blade Tooth Shape Regular – A conventional tooth used for general purpose sawing, straight or zero rake.. Hook – A 10° rake angle for fast cutting of hardwoods. Skip – A 0° rake angle with expanded gullet area, excellent for cutting soft woods. Pitch/Teeth per inch – Choose a coarser pitch if the speed of the cut is most important. Choose a fine pitch if finish is most important.
