AD Surgical UNIFY Surgical Premium+ PGA (Polglycolic Acid) sutures are absorbable. Vicryl Ethicon Polysorb Covidien Pga sutures' superior features over catgut are predictable absorption, outstanding tensile strength, in-vivo inertness and excellent handling properties. Polyglycolic acid suture retains approximately 60-70 percent of the initial tensile strength after 2 weeks, 50 percent of tensile strength after 18 days and 40 percent after 21 days of implantation and essentially absorbs within 60-90 days. Our highest performing 300 series Stainless Steel Needle for the most demanding surgical procedures. Needle maintains shape and sharpness 3X longer than regular needles. Each box contains 12 individually sterilized foil packs of sutures and one instruction sheet. The suture is sterilized with Ethylene Oxide (EO) gas and has a shelf life of 3 years from the manufacturing date.
