The 10G SpotSee ShockWatch RFID impact indicator is a tamperproof device that determines if products have been dropped during transit or while in storage. Incorporating both visual and RFID (radio-frequency identification) alerts, these indicator tags can be scanned with a standard UHF reader and allow companies to leverage the inventory tracking benefits of RFID and the benefits of an impact monitoring program. Affix the ShockWatch RFID tag and each time a package is moved among carriers, distribution centers, and final destinations and scanned by an RFID reader, its condition is entered automatically into the enterprise resource planning (ERP) software or warehouse management system. Each tamperproof indicator can be correlated to specific package and ensures that the device has not been switched during transport. These shipping labels are a proactive tool to help your business spend less time remediating negative events, and provide indisputable evidence of mishandling or packaging issues. ShockWatch RFID tags are easy to add to existing RFID inventory systems or enterprise resource planning systems because they can be read by any UHF RFID reader. Available sensitivities include: 75G, 50G, 37G, 25G, 15G, 10G, and 5G. (When sensor is subjected to a shock acceleration that exceeds the G value number, the indicator will turn red and the RFID circuit will be switched. The larger the number is, the greater impact required to trigger the device; i.e. more fragile products require a lower G indicator, more durable products may need a higher G indicator.
