The BB400 + SB400 BreadBoard Kit is a 400 connection point Solderless Plug-In BreadBoard plus a matching SB400 Solderable PC BreadBoard. The BB400 has a housing made of white ABS plastic, with a printed legend giving numbers and letters for columns and rows. It has four power rails. Solderless breadboards are great for building and testing new circuits because parts can be easily inserted and removed; they are completely re-usable. The internal contacts are phosphor bronze with a plated nickel finish. A peelable adhesive tape backing is provided for attaching it to a surface. A metal backing plate is included to attach to the tape if you are not attaching to a surface. The SB400 Solderable PC BreadBoard enables you to transfer your circuit and wires from the BB400 plug-in BreadBoard without recutting wires or changing your layout. It has the advantage that soldered joints provide a more reliable long-term connection than solderless contacts. The SB400 has four power rails like the solderless BreadBoard, plus two bonus rails for power or signals. There are bonus two-hole pads along the centerline allowing DIL (dual in-line) headers to be used. A top side silkscreen helps to position components. BPS uses high-quality FR4 glass epoxy PCBs for long life, with an anti-tarnish protective coating for easy soldering. BPS boards are Lead-Free and RoHS Compliant.
