SystemPods are for mounting a single chartplotter along with additional instruments on a pedestal guard at the helm. This SystemPod model will mount on a 12" wide guard. The ABS provides excellent durability and structural rigidity, important for minimizing flexing under stress, which results in more uniform pressure on the outer seal. The acrylic cap provides UV protection and a clean, glossy look. All NavPods are manufactured with a double gasket system, providing an excellent watertight seal to protect your marine electronics from the elements. NavPods are made to withstand the harshest wet offshore boating conditions. The internal Poron Microcell Polyurethane gasket is not subject to compression set like many rubber compounds, so it will continue to provide a seal over time. NavPods are secured with nickel chrome-plated stainless steel tamperproof screws, providing theft protection with a little style!
