Kynar? 740, an engineering thermoplastic that offers the stable characteristics of a fluoropolymer, as well as mechanical strength, abrasion resistance and high purity. Kynar? 740 PVDF sheets & rods also offer excellent chemical resistance, UV radiation resistance and low permeability. PVDF can be used in the semiconductor, pulp and paper, and pharmaceutical industries, as well as for nuclear waste, and chemical and food processing. Kynar? 740 sheets feature double-masked surface, fully traceable and verifiable resin, chemical-resistance, and UV-stability. Sheets measure 4 x 8 ft with thicknesses from 1/8-1 in. Sheet features tolerance consistency per ASTM D6713-01 and combustibility approvals by FM 4910, UL2360, and ASTM E84 Kynar? is a registered trademark of Elf Atochem
Machine-Grade Cast Acrylic Rods feature extremely strong breakage resistance and quick cutting times, without compromising on aesthetic appeal. These rods and tubes can be cut and altered to your exact specifications, but still allow for easy finishing and a quality look and feel for your products. Applications include Displays ,Grab Bars, Light Bars, Medical Devices, Duck Calls, Arts & Crafts Professional Plastics stocks the largest supply of colored Cast Acrylic Rods in the industry. We supply these rods to custom fabricators include many of the major duck call manufacturers across the country. PTFE is a fluoropolymer that exhibits astonishing chemical resistance and ultra high-purity. Self-lubricating and with a low friction coefficient, PTFE sheets and rods are ideally suited for the manufacture of high-temperature seals, insulators and bearings used in semiconductor, aerospace & chemical processing industries. PTFE's low coefficient of friction makes it suitable for applications where sliding action of parts is needed: such as plain bearings, gears, and slide plates. In these applications, it performs significantly better than nylon and acetal; and is comparable to UHMW. PTFE however can be used over a far wider temperature range than these materials; -100?F to +400?F (-73?C to 204?C) and offers superior electrical insulation properties. Although its' mechanical properties are low compared to other engineering plastics, those properties can be enhanced through the use of additives such as Carbon, Graphite, Bronze, and Glass Fiber. The most commonly known brand name of PTFE-based formulas is Teflon? by Chemours
