The all-new Cobalt BBG-1070-QS 3G/HD/SD-SDI/CVBS Standalone Expandable Multiviewer with Advanced On-Screen Graphics integrates five discrete 3G/HD/SD-SDI or CVBS inputs onto a single 3G/HD/SD-SDI quint-split output, with each input image being flexibly inserted into the output image area.

Any template layout or custom layout changes can be done "on-the-fly" in real time, without tedious setup compiler or layout programs like many other split/multiviewer products. While the BBG-1070-QS offers unprecedented flexibility, it also offers an unprecedented ease of use. Fully-flexible layouts using any of several one-button template presets or fully customizable layouts using easy to use sizing/positioning custom controls. Custom layouts can be saved to user presets.

Multiple BBG-1070-QS units can be cascaded to provide splits greater than the base quint-split. The PIP5 input can be used in a cascaded chain of BBG-1070-QS units that provides multiviewer layouts of up to 8x8 (64:1). The QuickSet grid definer precisely and easily sets up a multiviewer grid where columns and rows of each of the cards PIPs are arranged to work together in a cascaded aggregate arrangement. Low-latency processing allows multiple BBG-1070-QS units to be cascaded without significant accumulated delays within the chain.

Advanced graphics such as user identify text, PiP input video format, audio meter bars, tally/UMD, reticules, and timecode can be burned into any PiP with full user attributes control. CEA 608 Ch1 text strings can serve as user text overlays, allowing direct closed captioning presence/quality compliance checks for up to 5 simultaneous video streams per unit. User-configurable Quality Check allows subjective criteria such as black/frozen frame or audio silence events to propagate an on-screen alarm/alert to the output image (such as alert text burn-in or border alert highlighting). Asynchronous inputs can be directly accommodated ? each PiP input is provided its own independent timing alignment controls with lock to reference. An HDMI output (with audio embedding) allows direct feed to a wall monitor. GPIO allows direct input routing control and status monitoring. DashBoard remote control allows easy centralized control and monitoring access.

The compact standalone form factor allows desktop usage, as well as the 1/3-rack size of the BBG-1070-QS allowing 3 units to be installed in a 1RU space (an optional mounting tray is available that provides secure mounting of the units to a standard 19? frame).

The new i-Switch SUB is a unique precision piece of test equipment, being able to individually send a choice of two program sources to 12 pairs of powered loudspeakers and a choice of 4 Subs, making it ideal for batch testing or demonstrating.

Applications
Individually demonstrating multiple powered speakers and Subwoofers.

A front panel MUTE ALL switch and associated flashing LED allows you to mute everything when you need to answer questions or discuss comparisons and results without losing your level settings. The time constants for Muting allow the signal to Mute over a 0.5 sec window, and un-Mute over a 1.5 sec period. This helps provide accurate level restoration without sudden ON/OFF level changes or damaging transients.

The Dual program source inputs allow you to put, for example, program material into Channel A, and Pink Noise or a sine wave into Channel B. Select either Input A or B and just toggle between the two. Interlocking switches prevent more than one Input being selected at a time.

Interlocking switches also prevent more than one Output pair being selected at a time, so that each Output pair can be stepped through by pressing the subsequent switch. Status LEDs show which output is currently active. Four different SUBs can also be selected and compared with each powered loudspeaker.

All Inputs and Outputs are electronically balanced on Tip-Ring-Sleeve jack connectors, and Loop outputs allow the Input signals to be looped to additional i-Switch SUB units, for larger testing arrays to be set up.

Superb Audio Quality
The iSwitch's ultra low noise figures come from extensive use of premium components, plus care and attention to board design and layout. The result is superb, transparent audio quality and the headroom to accurately reproduce the most demanding input signal.

A, B and Sub Input Gains are adjustable from Off through to +6 dB via level controls on the front panel. LED status indicators show which Input is currently active.
The unique ARX i-Switch SUB provides a truly innovative solution to testing multiple powered speaker systems.
