The Wireless Voice
Step on stage with a studio legend. Offering the pure studio sound you've grown to love, the AKG C636 WL1 head is housed in a worry-free durable housing, you can now focus on your vocal performance-not on the performance of your microphone. Its proprietary double shock suspension system provides unparalleled rejection of handling noise. And the C636 WL1 doubles-down on keeping your performance flawless by incorporating a state-of-the-art, multi-layer pop noise rejection system that eliminates plosives and a road-tested, cardioid polar pattern that eliminates feedback. Made with hand-selected components and manually tuned for a pure transparent tone, the new C636 WL1 head retains the spirit of the classic AKG C535 condenser microphone, while being re-engineered to meet the demands of today's top vocal performers. The C636 WL1 is designed to fit the DMS800 and WMS4500 wireless systems.

World-Famous AKG Condenser Sound Quality
For decades, legendary vocalists used the AKG C535 to bring their voices to the world. Last year, AKG redesigned that classic mic to bring you the AKG C636 - the master reference condenser microphone for live vocals. Now, with the C636 WL1 AKG has taken the same advances found in the C636, and incorporated them into a wireless head for AKG DMS800 and WMS4500 systems.

Be Aggressive, the C636 Can Take It
If you've ever tried to bring a studio mic on stage, you know they're too delicate to stand up to the task. The C636 WL1 proprietary double shock suspension system greatly reduces handling noise, even during the most energetic on-stage performances. Its capsule sits on a highly absorbent rubber bearing, eliminating any structure-based noise, while an adjustable balancing network cancels vibrations over a wide frequency range. In addition, a substantial brass layer below the capsule serves as a counterweight that increases stability and delivers cleaner acoustics.

A New Approach to Broad-Spectrum Feedback Rejection
A consistent cardioid polar pattern eliminates troublesome feedback. A triple layer noise-rejection system lets you sing without vocal pops. And its robust double-shock suspension lets you carry the mic with zero handling noise. So join the ranks of legends. Sing into the C636 WL1 and experience your own legendary vocal performances.

The AKG GN15 from AKG is a professional-quality flexible gooseneck designed for permanent screw-on installation. The gooseneck has a metal construction for lasting durability and reliable contacts to support a variety of mic capsules. The gooseneck has an integrated LED ring status indicator, as well as a bass rolloff switch. The mini XLR connector eliminates the need for large holes during installation, while the included external phantom power adapter will accept 9-52V from any phantom power supply to power the mic capsule and LED ring.

For permanent screw-on installation, AKG offers goosenecks in various lengths: GN 15: approx. 15 cm (6 in.); GN 30: approx. 30 cm (12 in.); GN 50: approx. 50 cm (20 in.). Except for the GN 30 OC with unterminated cable ends, all come with a DPA in-line XLR phantom power adapter with integrated 200 Hz bass rolloff and LED ON/OFF jumper. The DPA connects to any standard mixer input with 9 to 52 V power supply. The mini XLR connector will thread through any hole from 11 mm (0.44 in.) in diameter. This eliminates the need for large holes or awkward unsoldering and resoldering of the much larger phantom power adapter during installation.
See product images for mounting examples.

Phantom power adapter
The external phantom power adapter of the GN series makes setting up the goosenecks much easier, since a small hole will suffice for threading through a mini XLR connector. Having disconnected the cable, the integrated bass cut can be set quite easily inside the phantom power adapter. The phantom power adapter will operate off any available phantom power supply from 9 to 52 V, powering both the condenser capsule and the LED ring.

Please Note! This microphone ships without a mic capsule. AKG CK series microphone capsules are required in order for this mic to function.
