GRK's Kameleon Composite Deck Screw features 5 to 7 rings that have 3 indented fiber traps on each designed to eliminate the mushroom effect. GRK?s Trim Head screws have the smallest screw head available which prevents most material from splitting. Pre-drilling is only necessary if the building material?s limitations require a pilot hole to be drilled (ie. Hardwoods like Mahogany).
Use GRK Fasteners T-20 2 in. GRK Star Bits (2 per Pack) with GRK screws (sold separately). Compatible with recess Kameleon screws and featuring a purple finish, the star bits come in a (2 per Pack) so that you have a spare on hand.
