snippetThe Eva Table Lamp originates from and builds on the intimate contact between light, shape, and movement. It investigates opposites, hollow and solid, light and dark. The body is a ball that contains the LED light source and is open on one side and stands on a thin cylindrical base. The inside of the ball is concealed by a surface that almost completely closes it with the exception of a circle of luminous light that spirals out recalling the phenomenon of an eclipse. The circular surface can move towards the interior or exterior of the ball allowing you to control the amount of light that passes through creating intimate, suffuse atmospheres and revealing glimpses of the gold leaf walls within the ball. Gold leaf is applied by hand and variations will occur.
