To use, start by cutting the foil on the wine bottle by rotating the retractable stainless steel blade knife around the neck of the bottle, right under the lip. You&#39;re now ready to open the bottle.<br><br> Insert the hardened carbon steel spiral worm into the cork. This open spiral worm easily glides into the cork, minimizing crumbling of the cork. Turn the handle to drive the worm further into the cork, until about a half a turn is showing. Place the boot lever on the rim of the bottle and gently begin to extract about 7/8" of the cork by holding down the smaller top level, pushing towards the bottle while pulling upwards with the other hand.
