the kit includes a variable speed rheostat controller and snap style thermostat disc. The variable speed control mounts conveniently below the fireplace and provides full RPM range speed control of your blower. The rheostat also has an on/off position that can be used to manually turn the blower on and off. The integrated thermodisc is connected with high temperature wire and "snaps" into a small retaining clip that press fits the thermostat to the surface of the firebox. Your fireplace should already have this clip installed. The clip is typically located on the top of the fireplace towards either the right of left side of the firebox. The high temperature rated wire is included, because the thermostat wiring runs down the side of your hot fireplace. A wire clip is provided to prevent the wire from touching the firebox. Once installed, the thermostat will automatically control when your fireplace turns on and off, giving you hands free control of the blower.
