The ChromAir badge is a colorimetric direct-read monitor that relies on the principle of diffusion to accurately determine the concentration of gas present in your environment. Most badges indicate from 1/10 to 2 times the Time-Weighted Average for an 8-hour work period. Readings on the badge indicate levels in units of ppm*hr. Dividing this value by the length of its exposure time gives your resulting concentration in ppm. The range of the Carbon Monoxide badge reads from 10 – 525 ppm*hr.
