For intermittent use over a longer period, protect contents by closing open ends with tube caps. Glass ampoules in the smoke tubes contain ethylenediamine and acetic acid. For this reason, avoid breathing the smoke and avoid contact with eyes or skin. REPLACEMENT SMOKE TUBES SMOKE TUBE INSTRUCTIONS: Measure or pace off a suitable distance in the air stream. Carefully break both tips off a smoke tube. Insert into the rubber tubing on the aspirator bulb. Hold assembly at inlet end of air stream and slowly squeeze bulb to produce smoke. For approximate velocity of air stream, note time for smoke to travel a measured distance.
