It contains non-butyl solvents, biodegradable surfactants and builders to assist in the removal of oily soil and light greases from all types of carpet. Use also for spin bonnet cleaning. <br><br><b>Use Prior to Extraction Cleaning</b> PRE-TREAT is sprayed on the carpet 5 to 10 minutes before extracting or shampooing to begin loosening traffic lane soil and spots, resulting in cleaner carpets. It is safe on commercial and residential nylon, including stain resistant nylon, wool and polypropylene.<br><br>Mix one part PRE-TREAT to five parts water. Spray traffic lane and spots with a low pressure pump-up sprayer until damp but not wet at the rate of one gallon mixed solution to 400 square yards of carpeting. Apply the spray directly toward the carpet - six to eight inches from the surface. Allow 5 to 10 minutes for PRE-TREAT to act prior to shampooing with a rotary scrubber or an extraction system.<br><br>
