New generation CryoTubes feature an automation friendly design. Tubes are compatible with TAP stores (Solar, Polar and HomeBase) and will also fit into a number of smaller scale storage units. CryoTubes have a low binding surface for high sample recovery with low concentration samples. Cryobank vials are for cells and proteins. Bank-It vials are for DNA samples. Working volumes are 0.5 or 1.0 mL. Tubes are for use in the vapor phase of liquid nitrogen and 169 tubes can be stored in a standard Cryobox. Dense storage format with 96 individual tubes in a 96 well format frame is optimized for freezer utilization. Datametric ECC200 open code allows for safe sample identification and reading of entire racks in one step. CryoTubes are CE-marked for diagnostic use and vials have a sterility assurance level of 106. Vials conform to IATA requirements for transportation of diagnostic specimens, UN packaging instruction 602 and 650.
