Most of their pedestal guards are 1" in diameter. Lewmar (formally Whitlock) also has manufactured steering systems that use the 9.5" wide format. NavPod supplies the SG10 and AG10 as a easy retrofit onto either of these systems.Because of the clean and secure method of concealing wires and the need to accomodate large connectors and heavy radar cables within the Stainless Steel tubes NavPod recommends the larger 1.25" diameter AngleGuards. Often the existing Top Plate needs to be bored out or replaced with the TP125 to accomodate the larger diameter.
