The Nicholson half-round hand file has one flat side with double-cut American pattern teeth and one curved side with single-cut American pattern teeth for use on flat and curved surfaces. It has double-cut American pattern teeth on the flat side for rapid material removal and single-cut teeth on the round side for finishing, sharpening, and deburring.
