The Nicholson mill hand file has a rectangular shape and single-cut American pattern teeth on the sides and edges for sharpening mill or circular saws, draw filing, and finishing metals. The file tapers slightly toward the point to ease access into grooves. The file has single-cut American pattern teeth for finishing, sharpening, and deburring, and square edges for filing sharp corners.
