Miles Sol-Kut is premium quality soluble oil. The emulsions in this product provide excellent tcoling, lubricity, and rust protection for use in a wide range of grinding and machining operations. It exhibits a milky white appearance. RECOMMENDATIONS:SOL-KUT is typically recommended for use at water/oil ratios of 20:1 to 40:1 in drilling, forming, planning, milling, sawing and turning operations on a variety of carbon and alloy steels ranging from soft to medium hardness, particularly where carbide tip toolings are being used.SOL-KUT is suited for light machining and is especially recommended for grinding operations where very clean emulsion are typically required to permit rapid settling of fines. This feature helps the emulsion keep the circulating lines clean and allows free flow of coolant to the workpiece. The absence of recycled grinding dirt in the emulsion keeps grinding wheels free cutting, thus, producing excellent finishes and promoting longer wheel life. FEATURES AND BENEFITSSOL-KUT is a general purpose soluble oil containing a high level of emulsifiers for superior performance. It readily emulsifies and forms very stable emulsions even with relatively hard waters and at high dilution ratios. SOL-KUT exhibits excellent cooling and lubricity properties to transfer heat away from the cutting zone and reduce friction between the cutting tool and the workpiece. The combination of the cooling and the lubricity properties provides improved dimensional accuracy and surface finish of parts and increased tool life.SOL-KUT provides excellent rust protection for both the machine and the parts being machined. It exhibits low foaming tendencies, and a high level of detergency which is beneficial in grinding operations to prevent loading of the grinding wheels with grit and fines.
