This 27 inch cross-linked high-density polyethylene (HDPE) seamless pipet jar with a polypropylene copolymer (PPCO) base is tough stiff highly durable and resists stress-cracking. The jar is ideal for soaking glassware and washing pipets with corresponding Nalgene brand rinsers and baskets. Flanged PPCO base provides added stability. The jar makes an excellent large general purpose container and comes complete with dust cover. Keep pipet jar on a drainboard in a sink or in a container large enough to retain jar contents in case of leakage. Caution: Concentrated sulfuric acid will cause pipet jar to fail. When cleaning pipets with a sulfuric acid-dichromate compound the acid concentration must be 60% or less.
