Internally threaded Thermos Scientific Nunc Cryotube Vials incorporate a special silicone gasket seal for use in liquid nitrogen storage systems. Not to be used for freezing in liquid nitrogen (liquid phase storage) as this poses a safety hazard. Externally threaded vials are ideal for mechanical freezing or vapor phase liquid nitrogen storage. Deep skirted cap facilitates aseptic techniques. Both styles are available in conical or round bottoms and also in self-standing and star foot base design. Star foot fins interlock with grooves of CryoTube Rack to allow one handed operation. Externally threaded step neck vials feature a cap that is the same outer diameter as that of the vials.
