This OEM Replacement Part is a replacement icemaker designed for Whirlpool refrigerators. Capable of producing 8 crescent-shaped ice cubes per cycle, it includes both the ice mold and control device. The icemaker operates by receiving water from the water inlet valve. This holds it in the ice mold until it freezes solid. The icemaker then automatically ejects the ice and refills it to continue the process. This cycle repeats until the ice storage bin is filled.
