Gray colored air plugs are designed with increased strength, increased torque, easier access to tight areas and reduced wear. The plugs are made of high-quality alloy (chrome-molybdenum). They are heat treated to provide the right balance of strength and durability. The unit's “high torque” impact sockets provide greater strength through the transfer of pressure from the thinner part of the socket wall to the thicker section. The sockets have 20% more torque than standard hex impact sockets. There is an increase in the reduced areas through the pressure change to reduce the thickness of the skirting wall.
