3/8" H17-Series High Temperature Automatic Shutoff Flow Pilot Gas Valve, 40 kW (133,000 BTU)The H17 Series automatic pilot valves provide safelighting and complete shutoff in the event that theflame heating the thermocouple is extinguished. Theyare designed for standing pilot applications and can beused with natural gas and Liquefied Petroleum (LP)gas. Depressing the reset button allows gas to flow toboth the pilot and main burner. Applications includeroom heaters, infrared heaters, stand-alone portableheaters, catalytic heaters, refrigerators, and similarapplications.H17 models are also available with a higher ambienttemperature, up to a maximum of 300F (149C), foruse on commercial ovens, broilers, and otherapplications. Application: The H17 Series valves provide complete shutoff inthe event that the flame heating the thermocouple isextinguished. They are suitable for use with naturalgas, LP gas, or LP gas-air mixtures at pressures upto 0.5 psi (35 mbar). The H17 is suitable for operation over a temperature range of -40 to 150F(-40 to 66C) for standard models. High temperaturemodels are suitable for operation over a temperaturerange of -40 to 300F (-40 to 149C). Description: H17 valves are compact, straight-through aluminumvalves with pipe sizes from 1/8 to 1/2 inch.H17 valves do not have a flow interrupter, therefore, gasflows to both the main burner and pilot burner (if used)when the reset button is depressed. Where a pilot is notused, the pilot outlet is omitted and the tip of thethermocouple is inserted directly in the main burnerflame. Mounting: H17 valves may be mounted in any position. Thispermits the reset button to be located in the mostaccessible location.
