This is a high quality OEM supplied replacement tire that is specially made for use with Jet band saws. It is secured over the wheel to provide traction for the blade. Over time tires tend to stretch and deteriorate eventually breaking and requiring replacement. Band saw tires will typically come approximately two or more inches smaller than the tire you are replacing. You would need to put the new tire in warm water to heat the tire enough to make it pliable enough to stretch. It is advised to use two people in the stretching process.
