Saturn door panels may also be welded with polycarbonate since they are made from Pulse, which is a polycarbonate blend. Although, if you have a Pulse plastic part, we have a Pulse (PC+ABS) welding rod available. The generic name is polycarbonate but the "brand names" for polycarbonate are Xenoy and Lexan. In addition to the PC symbol, you may also find the "SLX" symbol on the part. SLX plastic is a Polycarbonate copolymer that has much better UV resistance, but is easily welded with our polycarbonate plastic welding rod. No pigment has been added to this rod, so the rods are clear. This package contains 1 lb. (0.45 kg) of polyvarbonate welding rod. Each welding rod is 1 ft. (30 cm) long and is 1/8th inch (3 mm) in diameter. There are approximately 170 rods in 1 lb. (0.45 kg). |
