Allen-Bradley W14 Overload Heater Element
The is suitable for use with motor controls thermal overload relays and magnetic motor starters. This unit can be used in combination with circuit breaker for foolproof protection of motors. When the current goes past a certain threshold value the overload heater element opens the relay contacts which are taking the current to the coil of the contactor. Once the contacts are opened the coil loses energy and power to the motor is cut off. The W14 has a maximum full load ampere rating of 0.26 Amp. This electromechanical heater element is reliable and extensively used in industrial applications.
