The Tusk was originally designed by Sal Glesser in the early days of Spyderco as a mariner?s tool. Technology at the time was not available for the visionary concept, but now 25 years later Sal's son Eric Glesser has brought the original Tusk back with some new modern twists. As a premium mariner's tool, the Tusk is made from all highly rust resistant materials. The blade is LC-200-N, a high nitrogen tool steel alloy, and the marlinspike is 300-series stainless steel.
