G4122 98" x 1/2" x .025" x 3 TPI Hook Bandsaw Blade An economical 98" carbon steel hook blade for ripping boards to size. Hooked blades are most common for long cuts in thicker workpieces. The hooked tooth geometry is aggressive with the hook angled down towards the surface of the workpiece. This helps increase the feed rate through the material, but leaves tearout on the bottom of the workpiece. Width is an important factor when considering a new blade. The typical range is as small as 1/8" wide to 3/4" wide. This 1/2" wide blade is good for contour sawing
