The CBN coating is tough, will never load up or require dressing, and wheel balance isn’t an issue because the wheel is machined from a steel plate. The CBN coating covers the wheel from edge to edge, as well as for a short distance down the face. The coating helps keep the blade from overheating. Overheating or burning a tool is less likely, and CBN coatings last. There is also no danger of the wheel breaking or fragmenting during use and while this is certainly an added safety feature, we recommend the wheel be used with all guards in place.
