The entrance/office function features pushbutton locking on the interior. The lock is released from the exterior by using a key or from the interior by turning the lever. This Leverset is panic-proof in that the inside lever is always unlocked. VandlgardTM is designed to disengage the outside spindle from the latch when in the locked position. The locked outside lever freely rotates up and down while remaining securely locked. The free-wheeling lever eliminates the ability to exert excessive force or to stand on the lever, preventing damage to internal lock components. ND-Series locks are for commercial, institutional and industrial use, such as schools, hospitals and factories, where a long life of dependable operation must be combined with a high degree of resistance to physical abuse.
