The Pertronix 9CH-181 Ignitor II Adaptive Dwell Control is designed for Chrysler electronic distributors with 8-cylinder engines. This control maintains peak energy throughout the RPM range, reducing misfires and improving engine performance. It develops more available energy between 3000 and 5000 RPM and compensates for electronic delay by adjusting spark timing. This results in synchronized peak current and spark timing, reducing heat build-up and easier starting.
