Installation Details Up to eight intercom stations can wire into one 8-Location Distribution Module (sold separately), which is the central hub of the Selective Call Intercom System. You can create a system with up to 32 intercom stations by linking multiple distribution modules together. The Patio Unit is a 2-gang unit that mounts within an outdoor weatherproof box (56 inches from the floor to the bottom of the box). There is a two-gang surface-mount box available (IC5006-BK) for unique or retrofit installation requirements. The entire Selective Call Intercom System is based on Cat5 wiring and RJ-45 connections for simple installation. Eight RJ-45 jacks are included in the 8-Location Distribution Module for wiring in eight intercom stations. Just crimp, plug, and play. The module automatically discovers added components, so no complicated programming is required when you want to connect a new intercom station. Power for intercom stations is supplied by the module.
