Panasonic?s 14.4V Tough IP56 Li-ion hammer drill driver is a member of the Panasonic ToughIP Tool series and has passed the IP standard test administered by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) receiving an IP56 rating, dust and water resistant. Panasonic's dust and water resistant technology has been demonstrated to comply with the IP standard by tests designed to gauge the level of protection against the intrusion of dust and water. The hammer drill driver (HDD) offers high speed drilling capability in brick and block combined with high torque for superior fastening capability in a compact, lightweight tool. The HDD has two modes, a hammer mode and a drill mode. Hammer mode deliver high speed 200-1,400rpm and a maximum of 25,200bpm and low speed 70-400rpm to get a maximum of 7,200bpm. Drill mode delivers 390 in.lbs of full time torque at low speed 70-400rpm and delivers a high speed of 200-1,400rpm. The HDD is powered by high capacity 3.3ah cobalt Li-ion battery packs. The battery packs deliver high output with low heat generation resulting in twice the lifetime total performance versus previous Ni-cd battery packs. In addition the tool utilizes Panasonic?s unique GuardION system. The GuardION system monitors each battery cell during battery charging and during tool use to prevent over discharging and overheating of the battery pack thus insuring long life. The kit consists of a hammer drill driver, two 3.3Ah Li-ion battery packs, charger, and carry case.

The kit includes a heavy-duty keyless chuck and weighs 3.96 lbs. It also has a variable speed, two ranges, electric brake, and LED work light.
