12 pole female chassis connector panel mount, solder contacts

The miniCON with its flexible and compact design is perfectly suitable for multipin/industrial applications. The rugged all metal miniature connector offers a push-pull locking device and stands out by an excellent cost/performance ratio.

About Neutrik miniCON.
The Minicon is an extremely compact modular connector, with "push-pull" locking mechanism and with piece parts available as required. The Minicon features up to 12 machined gold plated contacts, with the additional options of horizontal and vertical PCB mount types in the case of the chassis sockets. Non PCB types may be fitted with the required number of solder or crimp contacts which should be ordered separately.

Cable mounting housing MSC accepts either male inserts (to take pin contacts) or female inserts (to take socket contacts), and consists of a robust machined alloy housings complete with chuck type cable clamps, and machined alloy cable glands. Housings, inserts and pins should be ordered separately as required. Cable extension housing MMC mates with cable housing MSC, and is used to make extension cables. It accepts the same inserts and contacts as MSC.

Cable connectors are also available pre-assembled with inserts and pins, these are based on the MSC cable housing. MSCF12 has 12 female solder contacts, MSCM12 has 12 male solder contacts.

The metal bodied panel housings, with matching metal polarising guides, have `back nuts' for simple, single hole mounting, and, in the case of PCB versions, have PCB location facilities on the plastic spill terminal supports. All panel types are supplied complete with insert. Order pins separately as required for standard panel types. Some types are also available fully assembled complete with pins.

The series has a rated operating temperature range of -30°C to +80°C, current 3A per contact, and a maximum wire diameter of 0.35mm² solid conductor, 0.24mm² stranded wire. Rated voltage is 960VDC/680VAC, though connectors are not intended for mains applications.

3 pole XLR female receptacle with 1/4" mono jack without switching contact, horizontal PCB mount. XLR / jack hybrid chassis connector combining 3 pole XLR receptacle and 1/4" jack.

A Note about the Neutrik Combo Series Connectors!

Neutrik has developed the first XLR / 1/4" jack hybrid panel mount connector combining a 3 pole XLR receptacle and mono or stereo 1/4" phone jack in one XLR housing. A space saving combination of 2 connectors in one plastic housing. Available in nonswitching and normalling versions with horizontal or vertical pcb mount or soldering termination.
Many Pro audio devices have two input connectors (balanced XLR and an unbalanced 1/4" jack). But in almost all cases only one input is used at a time. The Combo reduces panel space, costs and simplifies PCB (Printed Circuit Board) design. The abbrevations below show up in the part# and explain what type of connector it is.

Termination
V = vertical PCB (Printed Circuit Board) mount, straight pins.
H = horizontal PCB mount, angled pins.
S = Solder contacts.

PLEASE NOTE! "S" is the most widely used for standard cable soldering. The "V" and "H" are solder type connectors as well but the connections are designed for PCB use and are more suited for OEM use (manufacturing).

Locking mechanism
-0 = no latch, retention spring
no suffix = Latch lock

Grounding
Separate ground contact to mating connector shell and front panel, including switching ground version

Mounting
Rear panel mount

Panel fastening
Self-tapping PLASTITE screw with thread 2.9 x1.06 and of tri-rondular configuration (A-screw)
(PLASTITE is a registered trademark of SFS Unimarket)

Panel thickness
1 - 3 mm
