Applications

Grooved clamps are often used on pipe connections on dry bulk tankers in place of welding offering the ability to adjust, change or replace pipe sections without the need for a permanent joint such as a weld.

Use

Designed to join two pieces of pipe together.

White Buna-N seal is for use in dry bulk food applications

Use of lock nuts prevents clamps from loosening in high vibration applications

Specifications

Manufactured to fit new and existing grooved pipe connections.

Weight: 1.38 lbs.

Features

Precision forged to provide an exact fit and great appearance

Unlike steel groove clamps that secure pipe ends with high clamping force against tubing/piping walls, the Dixon aluminum clamp takes the full bolt force and locks into the groove of the tube/pipe, preventing distortion of the tube/pipe diameter.

Precision casting and machined dimensions provide an exact fit and great appearance

Easy to preform maintenance

Leak-tight connection

Construction

Aluminum body

Steel bolts/nuts

White Buna-N seals

How it works

The two pipes are butted to one another each pipe has a groove that runs the circumference of the pipe exterior. The grooved clamp has ridges that lock into the two pipe grooves and a gasket is compressed to the pipes to create a leak-tight seal.

Note

Supplied clamp gasket must be installed prior to use. Ships separately.

Replacement gaskets are available.

Safety notes

Torque the bolts until metal to metal contact occurs at the bolt pads (about 20 ft-lbs). Bolts must be tightened evenly to prevent gasket pinching and clamp breaking. DO NOT tighten one side then the other. Over-torquing will not improve sealing and may result in failure of the clamps. DO NOT torque bolts over 30 ft-lbs.

Assured Automation, WM-NLC-200, WM-NLC Series 2" MNPT, Lead Free Brass Water Meter, Range 8-120 GPM

The WM-NLC Series meter is a multijet dry-type totalizing water meter. It is produced in an ISO9001 certified production facility and is constructed in conformance with AWWA C708 standards. The product complies with NSF/ANSI 61 Annex G and conforms with lead-free plumbing as defined by California, Vermont, Maryland and Louisiana state laws and the U.S. Safe Drinking Water Act that took effect January, 2014.

Water flows through the meter’s strainer and into the measuring chamber where it drives the impeller. The impeller drives the mechanical register dials via a magnetic coupling. The WM-NLC Series water meter consists of three basic components: main case, measuring chamber, and head ring. The main cases of all sizes are constructed using C87850 low-lead brass alloy.

Includes:

2x NPT to Meter couplings with Gaskets

Features:

Dry Top Multi-jet Design simple, accurate, wide flow range, tolerates low quality water

Hinged Lens Cover protects display and register

Union End Couplings for easy service

Corrosion Resistant All parts in contact with water are constructed of corrosion-resistant materials

Lead Free body and coupling are made with low-lead brass alloy C87850 and meets potable water standards

Impeller is the only moving part in contact with water , giving the meter long life and consistently reliable operation

Extra filter at the inlet of the meter body permits cleaning without having to open the meter

Magnetic Drive eliminates potential leak point

Easy to Read Register Display odometer and needle dial have large clear digits

Dial plate design in US Gallons

Applications:

Residential & Commercial

Metering and Sub-Metering

Industrial Food & Beverage

Plant Process Water

Cement Mixers

Pond Water Feed Lines
